Tracy Venables

I joined ODS in September 2004 after seeing their performance of ‘The Importance of Being Ernest’.  I was so impressed with the show that they put on I decided that I wanted to join myself.
However my idea was to only help back stage, there was no way that I was going on stage!!   To my amazement and after encouragement from the rest of the members I decided to have a go but only in the chorus.  That was going to be enough for me.
I got the bug !! I couldn’t believe how good it felt, how much I enjoyed the singing, the dancing and the few lines that I was given.  After this my very first acting role was playing a lovely character named Patsy in a play by Doris Hilliard called ‘Bed of Roses’.  Very revealing to say the least!!!
Since then I have been involved in many shows both on stage, assisting back stage and even Co-Directing.
I would definitely encourage anyone to have a go.  Hope to see you soon
